AmeriHealth has the worst customer service of any company of any kind I have ever dealt with. If you have enough patience to wait forever in telephone tree hell, once you finally speak to a live person, it's likely he or she will not know the answer to your question and/or will not be able to help you. I am my mother's legal representative since she is in a nursing home. No one at Amerihealth seems to be able to comprehend that my mother, the insured, is in one location and I as her legal rep who pays the bills, is in another location. They have cancelled her coverage twice this year because they can't get the details straightened out. Come open enrollment in November, I am switching to another carrier. No one else could be this incompetent!!!
