My husband with Parkinson's disease, requires a prescription for a medication that has a generic; however, this plan charges the same price for the generic, which should be a tier 1 drug, as the brand name which is $300 to him. Plus we are paying $90 a month for their plan. I am not sure why we even have a plan based upon the price of his copay which is 50% for this drug. Secondly, for some reason they cannot process our debit card either online or with their staff. I can use my debit card anywhere else, Amazon, Costco, Sam's Club etc. with no problem. He medicine has been delayed because they are waiting to receive this payment by mail. He has been off his medicine now for 2 weeks, and their solution is to contact the doctor to get a half prescription to fill locally. His physician has more important things to do than write another prescription, because they haven't received their payment yet. This is bureaucracy at its highest. I would not recommend using this plan. as it really hasn't helped us at all.

In the first quarter, Medco removed two of my prescribed drugs from their formulary. Then, they billed me for the first quarter and never billed me again. In November, I received a due bill from Medco for nine months premium -- with no explanation why those monthly premiums were not billed to my credit card. We're still fueding over this issue because after the first quarter, I wrote and asked Medco and Medicare to remove me from this program which, of course, they both said they couldn't. My biggest problem with Medco and all the Part D programs is they don't tell you what dollar figure of your prescriptions THEY pay which leaves them open to charge excessive amounts to speed the customer to the Donut Hole. And, Medicare subsidizes participants $60., per month. So, why are the Part D programs so expensive??? MedcoDissed
