I am a female with Autism-the Aspergers Kind. I am haveing a lot of problems with Medicare Part D. My Problems with Medicare part D is that the keep on saying that they will not pay for medicine that is suppose to help me like for example I was one time on Protonix 40mg for very severe GERD or heartburn and my doctor uped my protonix to 80mg for very severe GERD or heartburn and medicare said they would not pay for protonix ANYMORE and now I am on Omeprazole 40mg and this is not working at all for my Very Severe GERD or heartburn because my symptoms of GERD or Heartburn has gotten very worse and now my Doctor wants to up my Omeprazole to 80mg to help me with my Severe case of GERD or heartburn and I am very worried that Medicare Part D will not pay for my Omeprazole.My previous medicine Protonx helped me with my very severe case of GERD or heartburn. Does anyone know what I can do because I have a Severe case of GERD or heartburn and I am haveing trouble with Medicare part D saying that they will not pay for 80mg of medicine that is suppose to help me with severe GERD or heartburn. I am also upset because Protonix which helped me Medicare Part D said they would not pay for this Anymore. Does anyone know what I can do.If you know the answers please e-mail me at :

Hi,
I wish I could help but I can't because I never had a problem with coverage when I was having infusions and I had medicare, plus a good secondary. Maybe the difference was that I had it done at the hospital. I even had home infusions for a short time and medicare never questioned. Maybe it would help if you called medicare and asked them to explain in detail why they won't cover. Maybe it would help if you got a letter from your doctor to send to medicare that IVIG is medically necessary. That's what I'd try. pagerank tool
