I am now helping my 85 year old mother with her medications and am selecting a plan for the following year. I initially chose Humana RightSource RX for the mail order so she would not have to get out. Most other plans were much the same so I chose them. MISTAKE!!!!!. I set up her account online to manage from my home. Their customer service 800 line is absolutely the most irritating one that I have experianced. Each time you call, there is a series of SEVERAL number options, which only leads to more number options "if this press 1", "if this press 2" and on and on.... Somewhere down the line you have the option to speak to a human after "a small wait". This is hard for some people, most people! I reordered her meds on Nov. 21st. Today is December 10th. Still no meds. I called them on Dec. 5th and found out that they will not ship the meds if they cost more than $225.01 without the customers permission. They called my Mom. She called back,got the robots, hung up and then she forgot to tell me. Now, first of all, this is charged to my Visa check card and the daily limit is well over this amount so "What?". Since the card is in my name, they should have called me. When I talked to them on Dec. 5th, they told me that they would release it and send it immediately, which could have possibly arrived in time. Finally, yesterday, after speaking to a supervisor, they decided to ship her meds overnight. I asked that they send me an email with the confirmation and tracking info. It is 10:00 am, guess what? No email and their wesite does not have that as an option when you logon to your account. I will have to call them to get that info. We had her doctor call in a weeks worth of her meds just as a backup and we had to pay full price (Plavix and Namenda) because of the reorder that I did online. Humana RightSource would not approve because a reorder was too soon. I get to deal with them again. I am so changing her Medicare to any Plan D that does not have anything to do with Humana and RightSource!
