I have had BCBS/D for three years. I wanted to change because they are dropping too many drugs from their formular. I have spent many,many hours going over other plans and although some of my drugs are not covered, after reading reviews and calling some companies, I will stay where I am. Waits on phone for over an an hour with an unimformed person answering questions. I know more than they do. I read a certain company has taken additional funds from a clients account and when they tried to get a refund, it was so difficult to get anywhere. I personally can say BCBS has awesome customer service. I have not been hung up on, kept on hold or had to deal with uninformed employees. If they cannot answer your question, they happily transfer you to aa Supervisor. I guess it is a matter of what is most important to you. Of course money is a top priorty for all of us but if I had to spend a year dealing with "shady" companies, I would live in constant stress. Sometimes there is a bigger picture when choosing a Plan. If any of you are wondering why the accolades for BCBS...So far they have the best customer service, assistance and concern for their clients. Good luck in making an informed decision. It is difficult for sure.
