Most of the time Express Scripts fills orders routinely with no problems. However, when you do have a problem getting it resolved is difficult. I had stopped Losartan to take Entresto. Had a serious reaction to Entresto and stopped it. Doctor directed me to restart Losartan. Express Scripts refused to refill Losartan saying I was taking a similar (Entresto?) medication. This, in effect, countermands the doctor's orders. They are making an important health decision based on incomplete information. This is not their responsibility. The doctor and I both know what we are doing. If I run out of Losartan my blood pressure will spike. Emails not always answered. Getting through on the phone is complex, time consuming, and sometimes the rep is not understandable.
