I've had Express Scripts for Medicare part D for about 6 months. Nothing but problems and irritations using them. The latest one - I ran out of a prescription, very likely because they sent me too small a number of pills with my previous order. I ordered a refill, they accepted my order. When nothing arrived a week later, I looked at my account. It said they would not fill the prescription until about a month from now, too soon to refill. They sent me no notice about this when I made my order or afterwards. There is no apparent way to get them to fill it and I'm almost out of pills. The prescription was for Simvastatin, a very safe and harmless and commonly prescribed prescription to lower high cholesterol. No logical reason they should deny my refill. This is only one of serveral screw ups and lousy customer service I've had with them.

This company is the worst I have even encountered. They not not abide by their published formulary and after having their subisiatry (UA healthcare investigate this issue of hydormorphone whichIS on their forumalary as a preverred generic, actually pulled up and listened to all the phone records of my calls to all the rep finding I was correct and their reps gave me false information she would refund my cost in full which was about 124.00 though their agreement with the pharmacy is to only pay 83.00. All I had to do was send in the reciept for their companies gross negligence, well I sent the reciept but they said they didnt receive it so I faxed them another copy and was told it had been received and being processed. After MONTHS of not having this resolved, not getting my refund. Every time Icalled Iwas told I need to call some other division their right had does not know what their left hand it doing and was now being told by two divisions they had no record and no idea what I was taking about. Well I got toa very rude supervisor today who told me know I would have to file a claim form never before mentioned but WORSE THEY WOULD NOT PAY ME THE FULL AMOUNT I PAID AND AS PROMISED BUT ONLY LESS THAN HALF! THIS COMPANY IS INCOMPETENT, THEY DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR PROMISED AND LIE. IF THEY DO NOT ALTER THEIR POSSITION i WILL SPENDING FOR MORE MONEY SUE THEM ON PRINCIPAL,IT WILL COST ME SEVEERALTIMES MORET THATi WILL WIN IN COURT BUT I WILL DO SO ANYWAY ON PRINCIPAL. STAY FROM MEDCO OR UA HEALTHCARE OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATES.THEY DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR OBLIGATINS OR PROMISES ARE GREED AND NOT TRUSTWOORTHY AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MEMEBERS ONLYTHEIR MONEY!!!

Regarding customer service, the representatives are rarely current with decisions sent via mail. MedCo is either unaware(I doubt it) or does not honor varied usages of drugs which have been in existence for several years. They do not respect what a physician has chosen as the most optimal treatment plan for his/her patient. They require a series of lengthy and ongoing appeals which are always denied; leading to frustrations of both physician and patient. I have never had such a problem with any other Medicare Part D plan and previous plans have required only one prior authorization/physician letter to enable coverage. They disregard all special needs of an individual patient. I feel the quality of my life has been diminished. I do not think anyone who requires medication should have to spend valuable hours of the day negotiating how they will receive the needed drug.
