My husband and I signed up in March for a start date of April 1, 2014. We started receiving 8 robo calls per day from an automated system that said they were Humana. The robo call asked of the DOB of each of us which per HIPPA regulations is personal, private, protected information. The robo call today indicated that we had to call back by April 12, no information given what the issue was. When we called the 800 # that too was an automatic system that asked for a DOB. We spent a total of 6 hours yesterday and today dealing with the robo calls and customer service. One customer service agent stated that no information from Humana can be given with out the person giving out personal private protected information. Per Tiffany that demand was put in place by Medicare as of Jan 1, 2014. Then why is it that DOB is not required when speaking with other health insurance companies (a lie to cover her tracks)? What is even more scary is that there was no documentation of the robo calls being made or the reason the the robo call demanding a reply. Translated this is another huge company that has ABSOLUTELY no idea what is going on and does not take responsibility for their actions. DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MEDICATION FROM SUCH AN INCOMPETENT COMPANY?
