It took me 3 weeks of phone calls everyday to get an approval for a generic medication, because they could not understand that it is Medicare Part D, not Medicare Part B. Every time I called, the people tried to find out what was the problem, but were unable to do so. They just did not know what to do. Oddly enough, there were two medications involved, and one was approved after only one denial. The second medication was a major problem for them. I ended up filing a complaint with Medicare about Humana's poor service. After 3 weeks of this, it was approved. Unfortunately, I can only advise customers to keep away from Humana (despite their bouncy TV ad campaign).
