I am highly disappointed with this plan! My wife and I had prior COBRA coverage until March of this year. The few times I have needed to purchase prescriptions with the plan have been a disaster! Each time, the card has been rejected by Humana with the excuse that there was "other primary insurance in effect." After lengthy delays on the pharmacy end, reluctant authorization would be given...until the next time I needed a prescription filled. Today, my local Walmart pharmacy staff was given 4 different phone numbers to call - to no avail. I finally went home and called customer service and threatened to submit a written compalint to our state insurance commissioner. This time I was given a temporary 30 day exclusion while Humana "researched my plan" to see why the changes were never recognized. There seems to be a serious disconnect between with how the plan functions and handles their client data base. If you don't mind lengthy phone delays, hassles with how your local pharmacy fills your prescription, then go for the lower cost.....but just be very, very, very patient. Good luck!
