I enrolled 9/22 on line. On 9/26, didn't hear anything from Humana, so I called and talked w/Glen. I was told I was rejected because I didn't apply w/n the open enrollment period. I explained that I was employed until 9/7, have coverage until 9/30, and didn't have to wait until open enrollment to apply. When I asked why I wasn't notified via email and/or home call (Humana has both pieces of information), he couldn't tell me why; he only said I would be receiving a rejection notice via mail (which would have been too late for me to apply). He transferred me to Enrollment. I talked w/Sharon or Harriette. I don't remember which one. She enrolled me and, via email, sent me form for my electronic signature. She couldn't tell me why I wasn't notified that I was rejected. I received the form, filled it out, and returned it right away. On 10/1, I received the rejection letter. On 10/2, I called again and talked w/Darius after the automatic system told me I was approved effective 10/1 and the card was sent 10/2. I asked how I was to pay the premiums. After he asked how I wanted to pay, I gave him the information for direct withdrawal from our bank. I asked him, if I hadn't called in, how would I have know where to send the premium. He told me I could call in and ask. I asked him why I always have to initiate communication rather than Humana supplying the information, He didn't know. On 10/4, I received a letter indicating I "may not have had Part D prescription drug coverage during 7/0/12 through 9/30/2012". I called Humana for clarification and talked w/Sergio. He said I would have to fill out the attached form and return it. When I questioned how this information was in your system since I already filled out this form and sent it in once plus I never gave a date of 7/1 to anyone, he couldn't answer that question. I asked him why their information is wrong, but I have to correct it. He couldn't answer that either. He said the form is still pending and that he will update the system I should "disregard this letter and form". I asked him how he could verify I won't be charged a penalty. While I was talking w/him about this manner, I opened another letter from Humana. This one said I was approved and the monthly premium was $15.10. Again, conflicting information received the same day. On 10/6, I sent all this information to the corporate office in Louisville, KY. I have heard nothing from them. On 10/9, I received the coupon book I called again to see how my account was set up; I was told my premiums would be withdrawn from my account and to toss the coupon book.

HUGE problems with both Humana and RightSourceRX - Their mail-order pharmacy. First - I was LIED TO by two different Humana representative on the phone when I inquired about the cost details of this plan. They told me if I ordered by mail through RightSourceRX there would be NO DEDUCTABLE applied to any "generic" drugs I ordered. When I ordered my first set of drugs (all generic) - they appliesd the deductable and I had to pay the full amount. I called Humana immediately and this time the rep explained how the plan really worked! He also said some of their reps had some consfusion about this issue. My only recourese would be tofile an official complaint with the government Medicare office. Fat chance of getting anything done there I'm sure. RightSource also delayed my precriptions because the amount was over $200. I told them I had already authorized credit card on file to pay for my drugs - They confirmed that and then mailed the drugs - If the authorization was on file why did they have the delay??? I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER EVER USE HUMANA FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
