If you have been diagnosed with long term chronic pain stay away from Humana period! Won't pay for the pain specialist and then won't pay for the medication if you do convince primary physician to control your pain management! I'm actually so enraged and scared! I have a very potent pain patch on my back right now as I sit here will be out tomorrow. They stopped paying my pain dr, then when family physician prescribed meds, you guessed it DENIED!!!! So scared and in pain! This is my life you're f***ing with!

Humana customer service is polite but incompetent. I filed an appeal on a denial. Humana never responded. After seven calls to customer service, and a review of the calls by a supervisor, I never did get a response. Stay away from Humana until they sort out their customer service issues. I have since switched to AARP.
