I was enrolled in this plan in 2016 and was satisfied with the service I received. My biggest complaint was that they do not provide an opportunity online, to know when medications are available for reorder and the ability to then order the meds. Since it was the first year that they were serving Medicare Part D, I expected that they would improve this issue.
I also enrolled then for 2017. Well let me tell you, that customer service has really gone downhill! Now when you call the 800 number, expect to hold from at least 15-30 minutes for someone to talk to. Once you finally get someone on the phone, they are clueless. When requesting that they contact your doctor, you can't be sure that the request gets to your provider. I have been given incorrect information and often been told that they don't know why that might have happened. I don't want to hear that the computer gets things mixed up from their service agents.
I'm not new with using a mail order pharmacy. Magellan needs to improve, if they want to be successful with Medicare Part D. I wouldn't recommend them, unless you are well versed in using a mail order pharmacy. You won't get much customer support from them either and their limited online internet program often is not working. Frequently, you get the message that the server is not available or they claim your log in is not accurate, even when you know that it is correct. Subscriber, Be Ware!
