My Dad moved from Arizona to Iowa in March. We signed him up for the Magellan plan. We won't use the plan for 2018. Customer service is horrible. We have called four times and each time they have told us I am not on the list to receive information, nor is my sister or a good friend. This week Magellan called and asked to speak to my Dad, he wasn't available. When I asked what the call was about, and told them I was on the list, they told me I wasn't on the list and oh by the way the form I completed and the form my sister and a friend completed were incorrect. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold. When the representative returned she said she couldn't tell me any information. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was told by the representative I just spoke with the supervisor. Really, you the representative talked to the supervisor, I did not. Representative then tells me all I can tell you is it is related to medication. What about the medication, we can't tell you. What is a person to think when you are only told medication. After prodding for 20 minutes I was told to have his pharmacy resend the last two claims, that's all I can tell you. Now if the company received the forms and they were incorrect, you would think they would send a letter stating the forms were incorrectly completed. Each time I called the representative didn't appear to know the information or the system. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I was enrolled in this plan in 2016 and was satisfied with the service I received. My biggest complaint was that they do not provide an opportunity online, to know when medications are available for reorder and the ability to then order the meds. Since it was the first year that they were serving Medicare Part D, I expected that they would improve this issue. I also enrolled then for 2017. Well let me tell you, that customer service has really gone downhill! Now when you call the 800 number, expect to hold from at least 15-30 minutes for someone to talk to. Once you finally get someone on the phone, they are clueless. When requesting that they contact your doctor, you can't be sure that the request gets to your provider. I have been given incorrect information and often been told that they don't know why that might have happened. I don't want to hear that the computer gets things mixed up from their service agents. I'm not new with using a mail order pharmacy. Magellan needs to improve, if they want to be successful with Medicare Part D. I wouldn't recommend them, unless you are well versed in using a mail order pharmacy. You won't get much customer support from them either and their limited online internet program often is not working. Frequently, you get the message that the server is not available or they claim your log in is not accurate, even when you know that it is correct. Subscriber, Be Ware!

When you call it is a minimum of 1 to 2 hours on hold before you can talk to anyone. The people who are called customer service know absolutely nothing No ability to pay your bill with out calling in and if you don't have your invoice your are screwed as they can't look anything up. Most inept company I have ever seen. Sure they won't be around very long.

Good luck getting them to answer a question by calling the 800 #. I have tried to call numerous times, and even waited on hold for at least 35 minutes with no help. I wish I would have went with another Company ! I should of paid more I guess. I'll know better next time. This company obviously does't have any call ! They suck.

I signed up in December 2015 for the 2016 year even though this was a brand new Medicare Part D provider. I have had no problems and no complaints! Twice, I have been prescribed drugs that were not in the formulary and thus, not covered. Both times an exception was granted promptly (I am waiting to see if I get a refund for my out-of-pocket expense on the second) This compares VERY favorably with (is better than) the established and well-known company I had dealt with previously. My only complaint is the rather higher premiums in Montana, compared to some other states. I will definitely be continuing my subscription with Magellan for the 2017 year!

They think they know more about what medications I should take than my doctor. Started with them in Jan and will be dumping them when open enrollment starts.
