Stay away from this plan IF you have a Tier 3 drug. Formulary is misleading. I paid $150/month for each of two drugs that formulary for 2018 lists as "Tier 3" -as if $84/month would have covered these, yet I paid $300. NO EXPLANATION from reps after several attempts to get clarification. Would not email me any type of documentation to explain this.

There are underlying threads of chaos, indifference and incompetence at Silver Script. Early on the first day of open enrollment, I signed up both myself and my spouse and received acknowledgement that both were successful. Two weeks later, my husband's plan documents arrived and mine did not. Silver Script said I didn't enroll and they had an agent enroll me at that time. It was game on and never once did it get better. Customer service is practically non-existence. What one customer service agent tells you means nothing. They are not held accountable for what they do or do not do. One prescription on the formulary when I made my decision was taken off the formulary in January when my coverage began. The CAREMARK.COM website promotes problems by leaving cancelled prescriptions and duplicates on it. Its inaccuracies are unimaginable. I spend a significant amount of time dealing with issues with them each week. I've never had problems before with a company regarding my Medicare Part D and never expected to with Silver Script. I had the highest hopes but all of my hopes have been dashed.

I convince my doctor to reduce my medication from 120 tabs per month down to 90 per month. I was hoping that this would also reduce my co-pay cost. To my surprise, it did not. Calling Silverscript did not benefit me at all. After being on the phone with the customer service rep for 20 minutes and he Kept telling me that the cost doesn’t change because it is for a 90-day supply and me telling him that it was not a 90-day supply but a 30-day supply. Because this customer service person was being very flip I asked to speak to a supervisor. At first, he refused to let me speak to a supervisor saying that he could file the complaint, I had to repeat my request multiple time before he would put me in touch with a supervisor. He told me that I would be on hold for 45 minutes before a supervisor would talk to me, my reply was I would wait. Every two minutes he would come back and ask if I was still waiting just to tell me you have 43 minutes, then 41 minutes. Now, I hung up and called back and 5 minutes’ later I am talking to a supervisor telling my story. I have had it with this company and sorry I didn’t change so I feel I’ve been duped.

This company is ripping off seniors and the medicare plan. Beware!

I have changed prescription coverage every year for the last 4 years. 2016 will be my first year staying with the same plan, SilverScript Choice. I have been happy with the coverage and premiums. I have been in the donut hole since November due to changes in my prescriptions in the last few months but that had nothing to do with the coverage. I have been very satisfied with my coverage and the speed I've received my mail order prescriptions that I'm keeping it for next year!
