Don't sign up for Silverscript if you ever plan to take a vacation that will require you to need, in advance, more than 30 days of medication per year. We are planning a 4 month trip out of the country, and when I requested what they refer to as a "vacation over-ride" for 90 days worth of medication, we were rejected. Note: We were not requesting additional medication...we were simply requesting it early. If we had not been vacationing out of country, we would have requested this medication per our standard requirement schedule. Since they would provide us with only 30 days of medication, we had to purchase the required medication "out-of-pocket". Needless to say, they are still gladly accepting our monthly premium for these 4 months...even though they will not provide us with our needed medications. This "rule" is clearly to their financial advantage...and...it is obvious that they put this "additional" income well before the welfare of their customers. Next year's open enrollment periods can't come soon enough for us....we will be leaving Silverscript ASAP!

I just found out this this horrible excuse for a prescription plan does not cover my insulin! At all! I have been using the same insulin for 11 years. Now with this "plan" my out of pocket cost for a drug that I will DIE without will cost approximately $12,000! As a type 1 diabetic I must have insulin every day and they choose not to cover it! Horrible don't pick this company!!!

Worst drug plan you can get SilverScript will fill a first prescription then you go for a refill, your told by the pharmacist it's not covered. You call SilverScript and they say, "Yes it's covered" so you try again & its not. You call SilverScript again, again & again. Bottom line: A constant run around!!! You go thru your doctor, he or she fills out the proper papers for the medication prior authorization or exception. SilverScript gives a run around again, now a month has passed and you phone them every time you think about it. After a complete hassle for over a month you finally get an answer of denial in the mail. Now, this has happened to me with two different medications. Well, there was three but one of them I just paid outright. Long story short, I'm exhausted with the hassle and am changing to a different Medicare RX plan!

Drugs classified 1-2 tiers higher than other providers. This makes the cost much higher. Hassle getting drugs approved on their list or not on their list. Process could be better and help in the confusing communication.

The tier for drugs are 1-2 higher than other plans. A tier 1 drug for my previous provider is now a tier 3. This increases the cost as much as 5 times. Taking a look at their formulary shows very few tier 1 drugs
