Almost every prescription that was sent through this plan was either denied or even if they covered there was a co-pay which amounted to more than that drug actually cost. Paying for this monthly and just in the past four months I've paid the cost of the meds and spents over three hundred dollars. What a waste of money for this plan.

They keep changing medications around. Never know when that will happen. Had a p a for my asthma medications. Was authorized then 3 months later denied. Still do not know why. Next year none of my medications will be covered at all. Shame on them.

They change their drug formulary without telling you. Customer service is worthless.

Terrible! Very long wait time when calling. Each rep transfers you to another. We selected the plan based on the medicines covered. Januvia is a diabets medicine that was supposed to be covered as a step drug (after another med had been tried). Our doctor provided documentation that my husband had tried other meds unsuccessfully. They denied coverage. We appealed the decision. Again, they denied coverage until I contacted Medicare and the state insurance commissioner. In the interim, it was either pay over $300 per month or try yet another of their suggestions. My husband did that.....bottomed his glucose level out and he almost required hospitalization. When I called, they refused to talk to me. He'd really be in a mess IF he had been unable to speak to them! They are an awful, pitiful excuse for insurance offered to our seniors and disabled. Embarrassment!!! FINALLY, his medication is covered. Now they're busy calling wanting to "review his medication." I don't think they're qualified unless they have a medical degree. RIDICULOUS!! NEVER take this insurance. Anything or nothing at all beats this!!

I've tried to look up the drug plan to see if a medication that I given is covered under this plan, but there isn't a drug list to look at, I've clicked on every page that is offered using google, so how do I look to see if the drug is covered without calling the company directly ?

Not unusual for the company to wait 2 weeks before shipping a new prescription - perhaps so that the customer will pay $6 to have the medicine shipped overnight. Standard mail is quick unless the company does not mail the medicine. I was overcharged $48 in February & in spite of many phone calls, even to Medicare, and 8 months later & still no refund. The new formulary contains absurd increases on formerly tier 1 medicine - now 3 or 4. The frustration level was so high dealing with this company that my blood pressure was adversely affected, hence, Symphonix/OptumRx is dangerous for your health.

Should a mistake ever be made, where money is owed to you by the plan, do not expect it ever to be made right to you. Every customer service rep, some nice some terrible, will tell you a different lie every time you call. Whether or not it is deliberate fraud or a rare mistake, this is not a company who has your back. If every member is denied reimbursement of overcharge, think what a massive amount of money the company can accumulate. And don't worry, Medicare won't have your back either - they also don't answer the phone (Atlanta regional office) -
