This Symphonix plan was fine until taken over midyear by United Health Care. At this point they started using Optum RX pharmacy benefit management which inserted themselves between me and my doctor acting as though their drug opinions were superior to my doctor's who knows my specific health conditions and has cared for me for 30 plus years. They criticized my doctor's selection of drug's and quantities even though they fell within the particular drug plan's quantity limits and were part of the plan's approved formulary. Prior to the takeover by United Health Care and Optum RX I was completely satisfied. I would now suggest that no one go anywhere near this or any of the Symphonix or United Health Care plans. For 2017 I will be firing this company by selecting a competitor's part D drug plan, ensuring I also stay away from any with ties to Optum RX. FYI, United Health Care and Optum RX are also associated with the ultra liberal AARP organization which played an integral role in ramming Obamacare through against the wishes of a large majority of Americans. Avoid these weasels at all costs unless you like bureaucratic assembly line people managing you and your health care instead of your private physician.
