Wellcare is very good unless you have to contact customer service. If you ever have to do that, then you're in trouble, deep trouble in fact, especially when it comes to prior authorization. 3 emails and 4 phone calls later, and I'm still looking for help, and my medicine is due next week.

WELLCARE HAS BEEN ABLE TO CONSISTENTLY GET AWAY WITH ELDERLY ABUSE. MY MOTHER WHO IS A STROKE PATIENT WITH DIABETES NOW HAS TO SUFFER EXTREME STRESS DUE TO SPENDING FOUR TO FIVE HOURS DAILY ON THE PHONE WITH THE WELLCARE MAIL ORDER COMPONENT AS WELL AS THE WELLCARE CVS PHARMACY.I HAVE SPOKEN WITH THEM AND HAVE FOUND CONSTANT CORRUPTION AND DISCEPTION. WHEN I WISHED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT, OF COURSE THERE IS NO ADDRESS TO WRITE A COMPLAINT WHICH MEANS THAT A VERBAL COMPLAINT OVER THE PHONE CANNOT BE TRACED BY THE COMPLAINER. THEY HAVE GONE AS FAR AS LYING THAT DOCUMENTS WERE SENT TO MY MOTHER THAT WERE NEVER SENT, CLAIMING THAT THE POST OFFICE STATED THAT THE DOCUMENTS WERE RECEIVED. WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT THE BRANCH OF THE POST OFFICE, THE REPRESENTATIVE,OF COURSE STATED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW. ALSO, ALL PARTIES DENIED RECEIVING MEDICATION THAT MY MOTHER HAD RETURNED THUS ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE HER FOR IT. FORTUNATELY, BECAUSE WE ARE AWARE OF THEIR CORRUPTION, WE GOT A TRACKING NUMBER WHEN WE MAILED THE PACKAGE AND WERE ABLE TO PROVE THAT THEY DID INDEED RECEIVED THE PACKAGE. THEY THEN CEASED DENYING RECEIVEING THE PACKAGE.FOR MY MOTHER'S MENTAL HEALTH, WE PLAN TO SEEK LEGAL COUNCIL TO END MY MOTHER'S DEALING WITH THIS ABUSIVE COMPANY. MY MOTHER SHOULD NOT NEED TO CONSTANTLY BEG FOR HER MEDICATION AS HER DOCTOR ORDERS IT,JUST TO BE SENT EITHER THE WRONG MEDICATION OR A PORTION OF IT AND BEING CHARGED FOR THE PORTIONS THAT SHE DOES NOT RECEIVE. THEY CONSISTENTLY GIVE HER THE RUN AROUND LYING THAT SOMEONE WILL CALL HER BACK TO SOLVE ISSUES. OF COURSE, NO ONE EVER CALLS. WHAT THEY DO TO ALREADY SICK CUSTOMERS SHOULD CERTAINLY BE ILLEGAL. THE POOR REVIEWS WRITTEN BY CUSTOMERS SPEAK VOLUMES.THEIR TREATMENT TOWARDS THE CONSUMERS, TO SAY THE LEAST, IS LESS THAN HUMANE. THE COMPANY IS BECOMING RICHER WHILE INCREASING THE HEALTH RISKS OF THEIR CONSUMERS BY ADDING EXTREME STRESS.I DISCOURAGE ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY TO PLEASE RECONSIDER AND MAKE A BETTER CHOICE. IT IS NOT WORTH MINIMIZING YOUR HEALTH AND WELL BEING.

Worst customer service I have every encountered. Unfortunately, I've had to deal with them several times on several easy different issues. First time was to find my Mother's drug shipment. No one could tell me when it would ship, then it arrived by regular mail the next day. The most recent and hopefully final issue was; I had a $160 double billing question. I spent over 2 hours (really) on the phone, mostly talking to people with heavy accents (Indian I think) who I had trouble understanding and who did not seem to understand the question. One of them cut me off!!! After numerous call backs, I got to an billing person in Tampa who handled my issue in about 5 minutes. Myself, my wife and my late Mother all signed up with Well-Care and will NEVER use them again. True a horrible experience.
