Premiums go to cover their costs...... Wel-Care will pay for generic prescriptions but will pick and choose others. Costs vary from month to month on those prescriptions that I have to pay for. Their customer service (for this USA governmental approved plan D program) is found in the Philippines. The people who answer the phone, though very polite and eager to assist, don't have a good command of the English in my experiences with them. After my first year, I received a notice that I would not be allowed to continue with this company. When I went to my local agent, he inquired and found that my coverage plan had been dropped and it was necessary for me to either select a different plan within this company or change my coverage to a different company. I'm looking forward to meeting with my agent and making a decision about whether to select another company or stay with this one. If at all possible, I'll make a change unless their new plan for 2014 is greatly improved in what is and isn't covered, the costs charged for these prescriptions, and the customer service department being located across the Pacific Ocean and handled by people with less command of the English language and less understanding regarding the questions I ask.
